2009 Delta Targets Pro/AM

Florida, In January.....
There is no doubt that after the storms and show and ice, everyone was looking forward to a little R and R. The ASA Delta tournament in Gainesville was the place to be if you wanted some real outdoor archery.
The competitors were ready, and the tournament was on There were nearly 1200 competitors in the regular classes, and 650 shooters that also shot the LimbSaver Unknown distance competition.
This years tournament saw 2 new classes, the known 45 and the Known 50. These classes are designed for shooters that want to shoot a pure "rangefinder" class. The K45 is directed towards any amateurs they want to participate and the K50 is open to all shooters including Pro shooters. Cody Thompson, an up and coming young adult blistered the field in the K45 shooting a 456 with 20 bonus rings for the combined two day score, and Keith Trail led the Pros in the K50 with a 438 and 15 rings. Keith picked up a bonus check from Delta for $1000.00, as well as his ASA check. Not a bad weekend for Keith.
